I have to say, there are many artists like rihanna. Im not neccessarily talking about the sounds they produce, but more about how they seem to produce albums that have only one or two remotely decent songs on them. Cassie for example, the only songs i can remember liking for her album was me and you, and a long way to go, and its sad to say the same applies to Rihanna. Pon de reply was from her album called Music of the Sun, and SOS from A girl like me. The only memorable, and likeable songs from those two albums.

Now maybe she has stepped it up a gear this year as there are two, yes two songs from the new album Good girl gone bad that are worth listening to. They are Umbrella and Hate That I Love You. I already have trouble with her voice, and these songs are the only ones that it really fits to. It is harsh i know but i really think that you can only do so much with her voice. There just isnt enough vocal range, its almost monotone.

The upbeat tracks are deffinately better suited to her than the ballad songs. There seems to be more of an electric vibe in her songs such as Dont stop the music which i dont believe is her at all. I think she should deffinately stick to percussion beats, thats seen in Pon de replay, that la la la, and umbrella. Its ironic she only seems to release the decent songs off her album, i know thats the case with most artists, but they really dont reflect the rest of the album, which in theory they should. If i were you i really wouldnt buy the album, save a bit of money, and LEGALLY download the selected one or two songs that are half decent.
