RIHANNA' Music + Party + All your girlies = Veryy Funky & Flirty Dancing!! When Rihanna first came out in the U.K with her garage/Pop/RNB hit 'Pon de Replay', i loved it! Yet couldnt help but add her to my list of other RnB Divas that sound the same, and have no original qualities. However when the single 'Umbrella ft Jay-Z' was released in 2007, it brought a whole new funky and sexy edge to the barbados-born singer! Now i can't get enough of her music! Am i the only one who tries to copy the dance with a huge fulton umbrella in front of the bedroom mirror?? Surely not :)
I will admit to being MUSIC OBSESSED, yet i hardly ever buy artist albums, just the singles that i like, as you never really like every single on the album, very often there is just one single you like and the rest sound th same..drab!....Yet with Rihanna- Good Girl Gone Bad..every electric, funky track brings
something different.
THE LOW-DOWN ON EACH TRACK
1.Umbrella -ft Jay-Z- Quite Pop, yet has all the potential dance moves just like Beyonce- Crazy In Love. Every time i hear the word Umbrella i just want to say, 'Ella, Ella, Ella'!
2. Push up on Me- Quite a clubbing track. the perfect track to show the Hottie at the Bar how your body moves.
3. Please Dont Stop The Music- Electro! I Love It! Reminds me of a saturday night, one of them tracks which you'll listen to and will automatically remind you of that feeling you get when your doing your make-up, tanning and getting your glad-rags on before a night down town! Dont you just love that feeling? And with the added history of the legendary Michael Jackson's- 'Wanna Be Starting Something'.
4. Breakin' Dishes- Very Fergie-Liscious! Street, something to gang up on the guys with your girls, bringing back the Spice Girls- Girl Power without the trashy and cheasy lines!
5. Shut up and Drive- A woman who wears the trousers! Cars, Speed and sexy leathers, do we need any more to impress the opposite sex with? ..Why not sing along in your car, ok if your thinking the peaugeot rather than the ferrari, you can allways pretend :P
6. Hate That I Love You- ft Neyo- The perfect love song, with the added soula nd smooth voice of the sexy Ne-yo, if you like Sexy Love by Ne-Yo then you will love this!
7. Say It- I think this may be the weakest one of the bunch, yet still has the innocent and light lyrics, with summary summery jingles, imagine walking in the park on a spring day!
8. Sell me Candy- Very fast and upbeat, reminds me of Justin Timbverlake- Summer Love, their voices sound alike in these tracks. Again a summer hit :)
9. Lemme get That- If your liking the idea of spending your fellas cash..this song is perfect! Girls on Top again!
10. Rehab- Break- up Blues? Put this on repeat, Rihannas strong and soulful feminine power will bring your mood straight back to happy :)
11. Question Existing- Im not too sure on this one, It is veryyyy electro, and her voice dont sound too natural :(
12. Good Girl Gone Bad- I can seriously see why Rihanna named this album after this track, or the other way around, it is completly true,a nd if every girl-lady-woman had the same views and ways then guys wouldnt have a such easy ride when it comes to walking all over girls! Listen to this on repeat!
13. Cry- Quite like Unfaithful, Slow and deep...a good break-up song, just make sure you dont cry as then you are not doing hat she says =O
VERDICT (Pros & Cons)
Obviously the pros of this album is that EVERY track has a different theme and vibe which makes you feel and think of different things, as well as the same edgy, vampy, electro, yet sophisticated sound! I cant really say many bad points, apart from the odd weak song...yet every song has its own individual ideas.
This varies depending on what store you buy it from. Howver most music companys are decreasing the price of albums...they used to be a whopping £14.99 for one CD, now you can pick up this ablum for no more than £12.99 off iTunes, HMV, Woolworths. TOP TIP- Try going to supermarkets such as ASDA & TESCO for discounted and cheapest prices for new released albums! (You might pick it up for around £9.97!)
Download & Log yourself onto iTunes, go on the Store and search the album, here it lets you preview each track for around 30 seconds before you buy it! To see if you really like it :)
