Advantages: Different styles come together.Hairs stand on end Disadvantages: Could be heavier like the last album.Possibly not as good as the last one but good enough
...Searching for some new albums I came across Creeds latest album-Human Clay. After receiving the first album from a friend I decided to go for it.This album is very thought provoking but at the same time good quality sound.Creed make the combination twine together beautifully and produce an album well worth buying.
Creed consist of Scott Stapp (vocalist) Mark Tremonti (guitar, vocals) Scott Philips (drums) and Brian Marshall on the bass.Stapp and Tremonti are the genious' behind the lyrics and music itself. These two make up kind of there own style but it is classed as alternative or indie.Whatever it is it's.

Advantages: Freakshop USA, sounds very raw, the songs are still drug mammoths Disadvantages: Badly recorded, only six tracks, the versions on spine of god are better
...rerecorded for a single quite recently but i haven't heard it. This version is a major fuzz guitar frenzy with the vocals sounding as if Dave Wyndorf is about to have a complete tantrum. It's a mess but it still works in a kind of 'guitars slung around your knees rocking out' manner even though it does sound cheap.
This is a fairly good album in it's own right but apart from 'Freakshop USA' all the good tunes are available elsewhere in a better version. I would buy this album anyway as i like the raw unfinished sound of these versions and i love 'Freakshop USA' but this is not an essential Monster magnet purchase unless you own everything else or find it cheap somewhere....

Advantages: whats the frequency, Kenneth? Disadvantages: dull and lifeless in places
...Well, it was always going to happen, wasn't it? Automatic for the People and Out of Time proved too difficult an act to follow for Michael Stipe and the boys from Athens. Time will decide the fate for this offering, it may be the low point in the middle of a glorious career or the start of a major slide. Saying this, Monster has its ups as well as downs, noteably the truly Monster track "whats the frequency, Kenneth?", if CD singles hadn't been created, this one would be worth the RRP by itself with its edgy, distortion blessed guitar riffs. The bad far outweighs the good, unfortunately and at best I would have to label this as a mediocre Monster, claws ground down and teeth extracted....
