Advantages: It's good music
Disadvantages: the band name

...not to have to sing along in an American accent to a worship cd. Bands like Phatfish help Christian music (and Christianity in general for that matter) seem a heck of a lot more funky and cool than it has been. Despite their 'mega church' not being my cup of tea, this is a good album. If I had one criticism it would be that the singer's voice sometimes seems a little weak, a little 'wispy' for some of the songs, particularly the louder ones. She sounds a bit like the singer from Sixpence None The Richer. They could do with someone with a voice with a little more strength or depth. Nonetheless it's professionally done - indistinguishable in quality from secular bands of the same music style. And while I certainly wouldn't put them at the same level, I'd say there's some hints of Keane or Coldplayesque qualities about them.... Read review

Advantages: lots of amazing songs!!
Disadvantages: They never released most of them in the UK

...they even had a record deal! Rich does lead vocals on this song. I absolutly love this song it is a really summery song. It is about a summer romance. It has quite funny lyrics as do most of their songs. I mean the first line goes New Kids on the Block had a bunch of hits, chinese food sicks me sick!!! Then goes on to talk about a girl he met at Summer. Rich also does a wicked rap in this song. The other 2 just do backing vocals in the chorus. I would give this song 9/10. Song Number 2 - Girl on TV This is another really good song from the album about a girl that they have seen on TV who they dream about and wish to be with. They describe her like Betty Davies who was a old film star! It has a really funky tune and when I first got this album I listened to it constantly.
