Well Green Day could bring out heavier punk tracks one after another and as Billie Joe said: 'We couldn't think of anything more punk to do than release this record.' so they did. From a band renound for releasing superb loud, trashy tracks such as 'Basket Case', 'Longview', 'Hitchin' a Ride and 'Nice Guys Finish Last' they really came out on top by releasing this song. ...accomplished than bands such as 'The Offspring', 'Less Than Jake', 'NOFX' and others. They broke the mold by releasing this as punk bands are documented as releasing and playing lively, energetic songs and this was slow, contemplatory and ver very good. There are two versions of time of your life the version on Nimrod and the single and the version on the Brainstew / Jaded single, personally I find the older version (Good riddance) to be a better version as it is a more stripped down acoustic version, making it sound more haunting and meaningful, as opposed to the orchestral backdrop of the Time of your life version, I especially liked the brain shape of the limited edition single my tip just buy ... Advantages: 18 different tracks to keep you entertained
Disadvantages: Some of the tracks won't be to everyone's tastes

...This CD is 18 tracks of pure quality. I can rarely sit still long enough to listen to all 18, but I know I've heard every track on the album at one time or another. I only bought the album in February, and I don't know how I missed it first time around. The first 7 or 8 tracks are all unbelievable. Nice Guys Finish Last is the first track on the album and never has a truer word been spoken. The famous, Hitchin' a Ride follows on before my personal favourite song of all time "The Grouch" - I don't know about anyone else, but to me it provides insight into why some people are so pissed off all the time. There are a lot of different styles on the album, including a completely instrumental song, some old school punk in there and the second last song on the CD, possibly the most widely recognised Green Day song ever - Good Riddance... ...This is the sixth album from Green Day and was originally released in 2000. Although it seems to lack the punk element fans were familiar with from the earlier albums, musically it is their most varied and experimental. The album opens with title track Warning, a satirical look on the 'nanny state' society where we seem to have warning labels on just about everything. This song is among the most interesting on the album because of the use of an acoustic rather than an electric guitar, something lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong seems to rarely use other than for ballads such as Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) as shown on Green Day's 1997 release (and Warning's predecessor) Nimrod. Blood, Sex and Booze sees Green Day back at their hilarious best with a song pretty much all about sex, domination and prostitutes... Read review

...I first heard this on MTV’s The Leak, a section of their web page where they preview an album in its entirety the week prior to its official release. Not being one to really take notice of MTV, it took pure luck to come across it, but being the huge Green Day fan that I am, I had to spoil it for myself and have a listen. So, as the tracks went by, my heart raced faster with every minute, listening to the finest music that Green Day have ever made. With the exception of ‘Basket Case’ and ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’, this could easily be Green Day’s very own greatest hits. Being from the UK, it was released a day earlier here than in the US, giving me full opportunity to listen …. and listen …… and listen, before most other people had the chance.
