...It's not bad at all. I Thought I'd give this album a whirl on a Tuesday morning as didn't think it was a Friday or Saturday night record. It's downbeat and perhaps a tad melancholy but that fits well with Dangerdoom (only reason I bothered with this) and his top heavy bass production. Maybe it's more for the more mature people (Damon's age) as admittedly there isn't too much excitement within this album and it does contain a cynical view (realistic?) of London life. Gone is the cartoon fun-pop of Gorillaz and way gone are the Blur days of pogo-ing and feel good London life. The songs come across with a heavy feeling or rather fat with quality. There isn't really a bad one on this album, in fact none go below "above average" and after giving it a couple of listens I can already see that this is going to get better and better. Much... It is full of good beat tracks. However this album has some good and bad songs. The goodness of the good songs, outweigh the bad. Umbrella is the best song of 2007, proven by its 10-week number 1 status! Jay Z has a great start in it and Rihanna does the rest so well. The different approach to this track is so good. I mean who thought of the repetition of the sound ‘eh’ in the chorus, it’s great. I’m still singing it 3 months after I heard it. ...Well personally modest mouse are my favorite band at the moment and this album is what made them it for me. i hadn't been listening to modest mouse alot recently untill i put the old ipod on random and hoped for the best, and i got just that. With their completely unique sound and amazing talent to produce originality, no one can resist this. Good New for People Who Love Bad News is an album ranging in tempo and emotion. It has songs like 'The View','Dance Hall' and 'Black Cadillacs' which are good examples of their upbeat songs, but on the other hand thery have songs like 'Float On' and 'Blame it on the Tetons' for their more soft songs. The song 'Bukowski' is probably my favorite on the album because it is one of those songs that has the repete factor, no matter how many times you play it, you'll never tier of it. Although in my...
