GARY WHO?? Review ofLife Thru A Lens - Robbie Williamsby

Advantages: Great solo debut Disadvantages:
...A great album from a great artist. Robbie has come a long way from the bad but cute one in Take That. 'LTAL' is a rocking good listen from start to finish. Not as polished or as mature as 'I've been expecting you' but very enjoyable none the less. A mixture of melodious tunes, to some real 'get up on the dance floor' kicking vibes, this is a great solo debut from someone who the world had given up on. Look out for the hidden message at the end, most of us would like to sock it to our teachers but not many have a chance to do it in such a 'look at me now' kind of a way'!!!. Well done Robbie for showing everyone what you are made of, keep 'em coming!!...

GIVE UP! Review ofOpen Road - Gary Barlowby
Frayed_Edges
Advantages: You could buy it to laugh at? But otherwise...none. Disadvantages: It's the worst record in history.
...I was never a Take That fan, and I am not a Gary Barlow fan either! What is wrong with this man? Why can't he just give up? No one buys his music, and this song is just the pits. Take That were rubbish, and Gary Barlow is rubbish. So Robbie Williams took off, and became very famous and well known, but just because Robbie is good, doesn't mean Gary Barlow is going to be good. Ok, so he was lead singer in Take That, and when they split up everyone assumed that he would be the one out of the five that would carry on a solo career, but things changed, and they went well for Robbie and not for Gary...so Gary mate, give up! This song is rubbish, and if you wanna make some money, start working on a cruise ship, and maybe you'll get spotted by the BBC....

Advantages: Accessible Heavy music Disadvantages: Over produced, not to everyones taste
...I bought Fear Factory's Digimortal Digipak for a very good price, considering the extra tracks and inlay/book which I couldn't imagine the album without. After the Obsolete, i was expecting to find a story printed in the book, but alas there was not, apparently it was on the website instead, unfortunately i found this out too late, as they had taken it off. But let's talk about the music...
Digimortal starts off with an aggressive clean guitar part, then Burton's vocals kick in which sets off the whole band, this definitely sets the mood for the album, letting you know that the all hallowed double bass drum pedal features heavily into their riffs. Second up is Damaged which takes the same route, with tight as anything guitar and double bass drum work.
The title track starts off with a great roar which i have tried to replicate on many...
