Advantages: Some lovely songs, some great vocals Disadvantages: A few weak links, Some tried songs which were too big for them
I had seen this CD advertised on the TV several times and the tracks which were featured made it sound really good. I was not prepared to pay the full price for it though so wanted until it came down a few pounds. The CD is a double one and has 40 tracks, 20 on each disk.
I am not going to give my opinion of each individual song as it would make this review go on for far too long. The track lists are as follows:-
Disk 1
1. Con Te Partiro (Time To Say Goodbye) - Andrea Bocelli
2. Over the Rainbow - Eva Cassidy
3. Candle In the wind - Elton John
4. I?ll Stand By You - Girl?s Aloud
5. You?re Gonna be Make me Lonesome When You Go - Madeline Peyroux
6. Hallelujah - Katherine Jenkins
7. Amazing Grace - Faryl Smith
8. You Are So Beautiful - Donny Osmond
9. You?ll Never walk Alone - Lesley Garrett
10. I?ll be There ...
Advantages: appeal to all ages Disadvantages: few songs are repetitive
The twilight soundtrack is a mix of artists from paramore to muse, Its a mixture of styles, ranging from upbeat, rocky sounds to slow melodic sounds.
Some of the songs are very catchy like linkin parks 'Leave out all the rest' and 'decode' by Paramore. Also included in the album is 'Bella's lullaby' by Carter Burwell for all you twi-hard fans!
This album (for me) is something i would definitely recommend to buy as it has music for everyones tastes, and is an album for all ages.
The one thing that i will point out about this album is sometimes it does have a knack of sounding slightly repetitive, and out of fifteen songs i would recommend twelve out of fifteen that are positively cheerful, singalong songs.
I have to say though that having the album out so early does mean that twilight fans have the chance to singalong and get ...

The six-disc box set GOODBYE, BABYLON is a remarkable undertaking--an elaborately packaged, painstakingly produced document of early American gospel music in all its forms. Focusing on the golden age of gospel (mid-1920s to mid-'50s), this landmark release is arranged thematically, with each disc devoted to a different aspect of spiritual music (sin, salvation, etc.). Even as it provides an enthralling musical history lesson, GOODBYE, BABYLON explodes preconceptions about the origins and development of gospel. The '50s country sound of Wilma Lee & Stoney Cooper, the banjo-driven string-band style of '20s/'30s folk icon Uncle Dave Macon, and the early blues of Blind Willie Johnson all fit comfortably together, and are buttressed by bluegrass from the Stanley Brothers, old-school gospel by Rev. Thomas A. Dorsey, and a host of others. From the most revered names in American music (Hank Williams, Mahalia Jackson, the Carter Family) to the most obscure (A.A. Gray & Seven Foot Dilly are hardly household names outside the realms of the most ravenous 78 collectors), this overwhelming but immensely satisfying set encompasses all the branches of gospel's family tree, with luxurious packaging and copious liner notes further sweetening the already-attractive deal.
