If you enjoyed the film this album is well worth buying. It is made up of all the specially composed pieces for Good Bye Lenin and on some versions there are also tracks with dialogue from the film over the top of the music. The only thing that disappointed me was that some of the music that was used in the film but not composed such as the music from the club scene is not on this album. For those who know Yann Tiersen's work on other films such as Goodbye Lenin, but who are unfamiliar with Amelie: you won't be disappointed, the quality and creativity of Tiersen's pieces are as exquisite as ever. I would really recommend this CD to anyone who would take pleasure in discovering a really unique collection of songs written by a largely unknown artist this side of the Channel, or anyone who likes their music to allow them an escape from the stresses of the life to a simpler, ephemeral world.
