Review of Clubber's Guide To Trance, The (Mixed By ATB) - Various Artists by
stevo83
Advantages: absolute quality trance tunes from 1999
Disadvantages: ruined by poor mixing and some poor tunes
...Hello to all you trance and music fans out there just writing about a old album which i listened to again for the first time in ages and was reduced to tears.
Clubbers Guide to Trance mixed by ATB was brought out in 1999 and for me this is when the best trance classics was around. I bought this cd last year for a bargain five pound i had to get it because i see a lot of familiar tunes that i loved .
I have only recently just discovered about the poor mixing and didn't notice it till i read about it now its so easy to recognize the errors .

A State of Trance 2007, an amazing album
Review of State Of Trance 2007, A (Mixed By Armin Van Buuren) - Various Artists by
Kelemanga
Advantages: Great new styles, not afraid of trying new trance techniques, good lengthed songs
Disadvantages: Not many well known songs remixed, lyrics are always the chorus of the song repeated
...This album shows just how much Armin is capable of. A State of Trance 2007 features 28 long trance tracks, ranging from 2 minutes to 8 minutes (Most around 6) that flow into eachother. Armin has used various techniques that other trance music creators have not tried yet, such as bit-crunching, and has achieved the desired effect. I have really enjoyed this album, and have listened to it for 3 months now, without being bored of it. One of my favourite aspects of this album is the use of drums, he has used different samples to make his music provide the 'rushing' feeling to it's listener that most trance artists cannot achieve. This album is well worth it's price, as it has over 1 and a half hours of tracks inside, that you will not get bored of. There are a few original songs by Armin in this CD, but most are tracks from other people...

Trance Nation 2 - full of good tunes!
Review of Trance Nation 2 - Ministry of Sound by
jglennie
Advantages: Great classic club tunes, well put together
Disadvantages: None
...I now own the 4 Cds from the Ministry of Sound's Trance Nation series, and I still rate the second one as the best! It is well put together by System-F, Ferry Corsten, and all the 'right' tunes come out in a classic order. Although most of the tunes are dated now, if you love trance then its well worth a listen to. The Trance Nation series are a cut above the numerous other trance cd compilations that get spun out with a real commercial feel to them.
Most people I have spoken to on a dance chatboard agree that Trance Nation 2 is a topper! Definately one for your CD collection.
By the way the other 3 cds in the series are good too!...
