Advantages: Great chillout album Disadvantages: Some tracks are very similar
...I was first introduced to Haven about two weeks ago on a grey day when I was stuck in the car with a friend on a very very long trip to Cornwall. She had their album in the car and put it on for me to listen to and from then I was hooked.
I hadn’t heard much about them but I had heard their single ‘Say Something’ played on the radio but I didn’t know it was them. This is where my investigations began!
The group consists of Gary Briggs – vocals, Nat Watson – guitarist, Iwan Gronow – bassist and Tom Lewis – drummer. They started off in Cornwall and then in 1999 relocated to Manchester where they finally managed to start doing some gigs that would eventually get them noticed.
Between the senses is their debut album and is a very chilled out album. It’s the kind of music that you can put on after a rubbish day, pour yourself a glass...

...I was listening to the album Not accepted anywhere by the band The Automatic yesterday and though I would review it a change after Christmas from my toy and mince pie reviews,
First a little about the band The Automatic.
These 4 lads Robin Hawkins, Alex Pennie, Iwan Griffiths James Frost met in a Cardiff primary school. They released their first single in November 2005. The Album Not accepted anywhere is their first Album it was released in June 2006. They are signed with B Unique
The music The Automatic play is Indie Rock. I like listening to this style of music. If you wish to catch a live performance The Automatic are touring in February. There is a list of dates and venues at http://www.theautomatic.co.uk/tour.php.
The cover on the CD Not accepted anywhere is a green grey colour with a school badge emblem on it, not very exciting...
