Amy Grant - Home for Christmas
Review of Home For Christmas - Amy Grant by
vickiblessett
Advantages: Some lovely new songs and new versions of classics
Disadvantages: Hard to sing along as Amy's vocal range is quite low!
This is one of my all time favourite Christmas CD's. I have had this album for a long time and it comes out every year!
Yes, there is the usual new versions of old songs, but the songs that are penned by Amy Grant are wonderful. I have actually been able to gain strength from the words of these songs and have used them in daily readings for myself and other people. I come from a Christian background and I've really found the lyrics on this album ...

Welcome Home - Brians debut solo album
Review of Welcome Home - Brian Littrell by
IzzyS
Advantages: Showcases Brians vocals quite well, some catchy tracks,
Disadvantages: Wont appeal to all, BSB fans and others, some tracks slightly 'filler'
...Brians first solo album, entitled Welcome Home, was finally released in the US in 2006. It features the single Welcome Home (You) and is, obviously, a pop/Christian record. It seems to only be available on import from the US, through Sony BMG, Provident label group and Provident Integrity distribution. You can purchase it as an import on amazon.co.uk or even better, at the time of this review (July 2008), I found it available on Play.com for the ... ...the world?"
3 - Welcome Home (You) - This is the most well known track on the album, in terms of it having an official video and being a single, as well as the fact that Brian has sung it solo during the Backstreet Boys Unbreakable world tour. This track is a more upbeat track, with a faster beat to it, than other tracks on the album and it talks about peoples hesitations and worries for him, when he first left home to be a member of the group and ...

Welcome Home, Brian Littrell!
Review of Welcome Home - Brian Littrell by
undermyskin
Advantages: Brian's vocals
Disadvantages: Lyrical content
...on what was to become Welcome Home, a contemporary Christian CD which focuses directly onto his faith in God and his family. People unfamiliar with Brian's life story may have been surprised by Brian's decision to record a Christian CD, but dedicated Brian fans have known for a long time that this is the music he's most passionate about and is where he got his 'start' before he became a Backstreet Boy. Similarly he was met by some scepticism from ... ...back to the subject of Welcome Home, his debut album. It was released in May 2006 in the US. It did get a release in the UK, however as Christian music isn't mainstream over here it went unnoticed and was not released to be included in the charts. It reached #74 on the Billboard Top 200 albums, but managed to reach #3 on the Christian album chart.
Tracks:
01. My Answer is You - Written by Brian, this is a great opener for the album with a fantastic ...

A blind man with amazing vision
Review of Don't Let Me Miss the Glory - Gordon Mote by
lobourse
Advantages: Fabulous lyrics, moving, not overly sentimental
Disadvantages: Noe really
...gift he has.
= DON'T LET ME MISS THE GLORY =
Gordon Mote's album 'Don't Let me Miss the Glory' was released in October 2007, and contains a mix of styles, all with a strong Country and Western tinge. The opening track 'Adoration' opens with a choir, before developing into an up-tempo rocky worship song, a style that is also in Don't Let Me Miss the Glory.' 'I know Somebody Who Does' and the tracks that make up the central chunk of the CD ... ...That Noise', 'I I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)' and ' Ain't Gonna Give Up on God' - are variations of Gospel, while the last three songs are much more reflective ballads. 'Maplewood Methodist Church' is a Country story song.
The music is accomplished, well-mixed with strong backing vocals provided by his wife Kimberly, and Alison Krauss on lead vocals on 'My Redeemer is Faithful and True'. However, much though the music is very ...

Another excellent feel good album from the Duo
Review of Incredible - Mary Mary by
rainbow030104
Advantages: A must for Mary Mary fans
Disadvantages: none!
Another excellent feel good, inspiring, well written album from the duo. All full of feel good tunes to make you dance in your seat or get up and worship God! Totally God centred music, a great ablum to worship to, or could be used to just to reflect on lifes ups and downs.
Each song has its own personality and story-line to it, the duo are excellent at writing songs which I then feel as though teh songs could have been written about me as I can ...
