...The Corrs are three sisters (Andrea-lead vocals, tin whistle, Caroline-vocals, drums, bodhren, Sharon-vocals, violin) and one brother (Jim-guitar, vocal, keyboards). ‘In Blue’ is the Corrs third album after their debut ‘Forgiven not forgotten’ and it’s follow up ‘Talk on corners’.
The Corrs really hit the big time with ‘Talk on corners’ this album was the biggest selling album of 1998, the album was savvy and had a unique mix of current pop dance beats with Irish flavour, it worked brilliantly!
Unfortunately The Corrs have not stuck to they’re proven formula; this has resulted in ‘In Blue’ being full of bland and boring tracks! Don’t get me wrong there are some killer tunes on this album, but there are also some really bad ones too, when The Corrs...

Advantages: good mix of music Disadvantages: absolutely none!
...I could not, even if I tried, write anything negative about this double CD featuring Aaron Neville.
This man's voice is phenomenal and wonderfully unique.
He is originally from New Orleans and has a wonderful New Orleans Rhythm and Blues sound. His voice will reach your inner being every time he opens his mouth and a note comes out!
There is a wide spectrum throughout this particular collection. We have the up-tempo and foot-tapping beat of 'Oh happy Day' & 'I saw the light' to the sultry, moody sound of 'Ave Maria' and 'Amazing grace.'
The rest of the songs included in these 2 CD's are:
What a friend we have in Jesus, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Morning has Broken, If I had a Hammer, Let it Be , Mary don't you Weep, Steer me Right, Gotta Serve Somebody, A Change is Gonna Come, I Believe, Let Go, Banks of the River Jordan...

Advantages: Some decent rhythm and blues Disadvantages: Film dialogue in the wrong places
...on the move, which is where I prefer to have music playing and so I wanted a copy of the soundtrack album.
Considering where the Blues Brothers were supposedly from, the opening number is quite appropriate. "Born in Chicago" is a 1960s style blues number with a rock 'n' roll undertone and reminds me of a slowed down version of a Chuck Berry song, although with the emphasis more on the blues end of the spectrum than the more rock 'n' roll sound that Berry had. But as I'm a Chuck Berry fan, even a slight comparison is good for me.
The performer of the next track, "The Blues Don't Bother Me" is perhaps the most interesting thing about it. Although he's been a part of the Blues Brothers Band since the start, this is the first time I've heard Matt "Guitar" Murphy sing. It turns out he's got a gruff voice which is perfect for singing the blues...
