Advantages: Vivid, gorgeous and quite unlike anything else you've heard Disadvantages: Albums of this quality don't come along too often
...to the soft tap of a tambourine while Martina's main vocal slides lightly and sweetly over the top like quicksilver. "I'm gonna make the whole world do it," she murmurs, her idiosyncratic indistinct pronunciation ever adding to the ethereal nature of her singing - "...I'm not here for to play." It's a gentle but insistent mission statement of a person about to explore where they've come from and where they're going, and it sounds for all the world like a perfect piece of sublime gospel straight out of the nineteenth century via heaven.
Immediately following this comes the punch behind the statement in the bold opening of 'Need One'. This is probably the most radio-friendly track on the album, but don't mistake that for blandness - it may feature guitar and vocal work from Queens of the Stone Age stalwarts Josh Homme and Mark Lanegan, but it has...

Advantages: This gospel group are outstanding!! Disadvantages: None
...The Sounds of Blackness, was created in 1971, as a traditional American Gospel choir, but their reputation for contempary gospel has made them a popular group to which many a main stream artist would like to work with.
The group is made up of a 50 strong talented vocalists, with the lead artist (Anne Nesby) holding the choir in good esteem. Elvis' record company, BMG, have spent the last 29 years (since his death) repackaging his recorded material, and still release many CDs each year, collecting together already released material and unreleased material from the archives (this unreleased music is often distributed through their specialist Elvis label FTD - short for 'Follow That Dream' which was the title of one of Elvis' movies from the 1960s...
