Advantages: The broadness of the music kept my interest throughout, they enjoyed being there! Disadvantages: None for me.
the end of the evening they had all sung either solo or with one other person.
There was no conductor, but they really didn?t need one.
The Music
As I just mentioned, the range of genres took me by surprise, as I was expecting something, well, more old school gospel. Although most gospel singers I?ve heard have beautiful voices, it?s not music I listen to often.
The Choir probably spent a equal time singing traditional African hymns as they did songs that I or my friend already knew.
The first half of the concert featured some wonderful arrangements, including a rendition of Bob Marley?s One Love which then slipped seamlessly into Bridge over troubled waters by Simon and Garfunkel.
The second half featured what was probably my favourite song of the evening, Peter Gabriel?s Biko. They also sung a beautiful rendition ...
Advantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs Disadvantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs messed up
. Add a few scratches and a rap and you have this
Gotta Hold Over Me - Coko. Poor song. In my opinion Coko isnt the most gifted singer and you can tell on this track. Not one of Phils greatest and not one of Coko's either
I Dont Care Anymore - Kelis. Produced by the Neptunes, this is a harsh track with an 'I Hate You So Much Right Now' shouty feel to it. You would either love or hate this
Cant Turn Back The Years - Joe. Not to disimilar to the original and it works. The best track on the album, Joes voices gives this tune so much credit. It really does work. Quality
Do You Remember - Debelah Morgan. Poor again, she has a good voice and it comes through but the production is not great and its a big let down
Against All Odds - Montell Jordan. This is worse than the Westlife version. Its just not very good
One More NIght ...
Advantages: Fast delivery Disadvantages: Postage prices could be cheaper
Introduction
-----------------
I visited The Inspirations Store after it came up as a search result on Google, when I was looking to buy a Christening gift.
My first impressions, in all honesty, were not fanatastic. The homepage, the first thing you see, is not the tidiest around. There's a lot of writing on there, and it doesn't appear to be in any kind of sensible order. Don't get me wrong here - it's also not the worst I've ever seen, and it's by no means crowded or garish - the colours in fact are quite pleasing; lilac and pink-ish shades on a white background. It does however seem to have lists of the kinds of gifts they offer all over the place.
