Gotta Have Gospel Vol.2 (+DVD) - Various Artists

Advantages: Great variety, Awesome songs, Superior Mixing by Andy C!
Disadvantages: Wish it was longer!!

...Having always been an Andy C fan, I got this CD as soon as I heard about it and saw that it had received several awards which made me even more excited! The variety of tracks found on the two CDs is amazing! 29 tracks on the first CD and 14 on the 2nd. Eventhough the tracks vary so much, they way they are mixed together by Andy C just makes the whole CD flow along into one long pleasurable experience! I actually took this cd to my friends in the states to listen on the long drives there and they listen to country and rock.. but after I played this CD we were listening to it over and over on the long drives! I gotta say, fantastic road music, makes the drive go by quickly. ...Have already rated the previous album (put your hands up vol.1) and many of my points apply to this album aswell. After continually listening to the first album i decided to buy this one aswell and again i was not disappointed. There is again a brilliant mix of tracks over 3 CD's including several remixes and club mixes such as that of Camille Jonesvs Fedded le Grande-The Creeps (club mix). This i believe to be one of the best but there are 62 other tunes that you will just want to get up and dance to. Again, as like the previous album there is bonus content on CD1 including 3 awesomw music videos including Fedde Le Grande-Put your hands up and Alex Gaudino-Destination Calabria. This is a really nice touch to the album and makes it a real gem.... Read review

Advantages: good mix of music
Disadvantages: absolutely none!

...I could not, even if I tried, write anything negative about this double CD featuring Aaron Neville. This man's voice is phenomenal and wonderfully unique. He is originally from New Orleans and has a wonderful New Orleans Rhythm and Blues sound. His voice will reach your inner being every time he opens his mouth and a note comes out! There is a wide spectrum throughout this particular collection. We have the up-tempo and foot-tapping beat of 'Oh happy Day' & 'I saw the light' to the sultry, moody sound of 'Ave Maria' and 'Amazing grace.' The rest of the songs included in these 2 CD's are: What a friend we have in Jesus, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Morning has Broken, If I had a Hammer, Let it Be , Mary don't you Weep, Steer me Right, Gotta Serve Somebody, A Change is Gonna Come, I Believe, Let Go, Banks of the River Jordan, Jesus...
