...Woosh woosh swit swoo. This album is in parts quite good. What a fantastic feeling listening to some songs! Even though the lyrics can sometimes make no sense, these melodies are so upbeat and lifting. never a dull moment and almost guaranteed to suit almost anyone. Thanks for reading. Advantages: A great fantasy adventure score with a lots of rich lyricism.

...When Close Encounters came out in 1977, it was quite revolutionary in many aspects, the most remarkable being of course that the film's aliens were not some blood-thirsty monsters come to destroy humanity like it had often been in Grade-Z sci-fi movies of the past.
