Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
...A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits, but I honestly think its marketed wrong, this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents...

Advantages: Classic Songs, Memorable! Disadvantages: Does exactly what it says on the box!! lol
...This CD is full of classic songs like a fantastic arrangement of 'Over the Rainbow' by Eva Cassidy which personally I have put on repeat for the last 3 days!! Other classics include 'How do I live?' by Leann Rimes, 'I will always love you' by Dolly Parton and 'Aint No sunshine' by Bill Withers which if I'm correct features on the film Notting Hill.
It's a real tear-jerker of a CD but at the same time it is fantastic!!! Definately one of my favourite CD's in my collection. I usually listen to it at night or I have it on quietly while I'm reading or working although when I'm working I notice I'm singing to the songs instead of concentrating on the work.
CD 1:
1. Over The Rainbow-Eva Cassidy
2. Don't Know Why-Norah Jones
3. Walk On By-Dionne Warwick...

Advantages: A good mixture of covers Disadvantages: Not enough songs!
...Madness in the their latter years somewhat lost touch, and lost their connection with their roots. Everything that made them who they were in the late part of the 70's had all but gone by as early as 1981. But 2005 saw Madness take a welcomed return to those roots we all missed. However it wasn't with new writings or recordings. It was covers of those bands that helped create them. The Dangermen Sessions - Volume 1. From the soulfulness of The Supremes - You Keep Me Hanging On to the roots reggae of Bob Marleys' - So Much Trouble In The World. Not to mention covers of The Kinks, Desmond Dekker and of course, probably the man who played the biggest influence on Madness. . . . Prince Buster. This CD is a must have for any Madness fan....
