Advantages: Powerful song structure and the voice of an angel. Disadvantages: Eventually, it comes to an end.
It was the song 'Hallelujah' (a cover of a Leonard Cohen song / poem) that originally got me into Jeff Buckley. Since then, I have musically fallen in love with all of Jeff's music.

'Grace' was the only studio album brought out by Jeff himself, who was the only son of cult folk singer / songwriter Tim Buckley. Jeff was determined not to be simply a sum of all of his creative influences (including The Smiths, Led Zeppelin, and Nina Simone), but wanted to create his own unique style, and this breathtaking fusion is present on 'Grace'. From the moving 'Mojo Pin' to the emotion of 'Lilac Wine', and from the heartfelt sigh at the beginning of 'Hallelujah' to the philosophical questions of 'Eternal Life', the album is perfect.
Ten years and one day after the release of the original 'Grace', the re-mastered 10th anniversary edition was released, with better sound quality than the original, a second disk of various un-released studio songs (including the much hunted for 'Forget Her' and several covers such as Screamin' Jay's 'Alligator Wine') was released. In addition to this, there is a DVD with videos of some of the 'Grace' songs and a making-of for them as well.
I bought this album a couple of months ago. It is one of the only albums that I can listen to time and time again without getting bored and with the same passion that I felt when listening to it for the first time - it is simply inspiring. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who has any any passion for music.

Review of Grace (10th Anniversary Legacy Edition/Remastered/+DVD) [Digipak] - Jeff Buckley
Advantages: The DVD - music videos for a handful of songs Disadvantages: It doesn't include the song 'Best of Me'
Jeff Buckley's melodic voice ranges from high pitch notes to a raw, deep, angry sound.
I cant think of any artist, past or present to have such an infectious voice and range of music style, along with amazing guiter skills.
He uses different types of odd sounds in his music:
for example the chainsaw type sound in one of his songs. The CD basically covers all of the tracks which I would say are my personal favourites. To name a few:
Last Goodbye ... ...Eternal Life
All his songs have such passion and emotion behind them, you can tell this in his voice not just the lyrics.
The only track this CD is missing which should not have been overlooked is Best of Me! If you buy this CD, be sure to get your hands on Best of Me somehow, download it, buy the single, whatever - you should own it. ...

Released to coincide with the ten year anniversary of 1994's 'Grace', Jeff Buckley's only album to be released in his lifetime. Regarded as one of the classic indie-rock albums of the 20th Century, this deluxe edition contains ten unreleased tracks and videos. It includes all four of the videos to be released from 'Grace' as well as live versions and a cover of the MC5's 'Kick Out The Jams'. This version also includes Buckley's collaboration with Shudder To Think, 'I Want Someone Badly'.
