This is Jeff Buckley’s only completely finished work. He had all to short a time making music on this planet. Sounding something like a modern day Led Zeppelin, Jeff’s vocal gymnastics are easily a match for Robert Plants and are less harsh as well. The way guitars shimmer also leaves you thinking of some of Led Zeppelins more relaxed numbers. Don’t get me wrong, Jeff Buckley was much more than a Led Zeppelin cover band. He was a very gifted singer/songwriter as tracks like Lover, You Should’ve Come Over and Mojo Pin prove. I really, really like this album and challenge anyone else to do otherwise.

Advantages: Extreme beauty, grace, charm. Lovingly crafted music, with a well-deserved cult following of those with enlightened souls. Disadvantages: A moment or two when he tries to be a bit of a rock god, and doesn't come off too well.
