Fifteenth Coast Artillery Corps as the happiest
time of his life; he had been fascinated by wind
and brass instruments ever since his 1900 trip to
the Paris World Exhibition, and his music for wind
orchestra reflects both that enjoyment and that
obsession with the possible sound world wind
orchestras offered him. Much of the music on this
first sampling of his output for wind band
consists of arrangements of standard Grainger
miniatures and obsessions--the version of "Country
Gardens" here is one he made late in life and in
which he tried for delicacy. TheLincolnshire
Posysuite found its definitive form in the version
for wind orchestra--Grainger talked of how he
tried to portray not merely the songs he had
collected in Lincolnshire, but also the individual
folk singers who had helped him--the Royal
Northern College of Music Wind Orchestra bring a
particular grandeur to movements like "Rufford
Park Poachers" and "Lord Melbourne". These are
virtuoso performances which bring out Grainger's
alternately delicate and aggressive wind

which the brass occasionally breaks powerfully.
Varcoe is always fine in Grainger's morbid
moments; his authoritative version of "The Three
Ravens" is beautifully supported by a hushed
chorus, and he and a male chorus are gloriously
hard-hearted in the pipe-organ and piano-supported
version of Kipling's tale of a military execution
"Danny Deever". "Random Round" here includes
plucked instruments, marimbas and three wordless
soloists--an even odder work than usual in this
version. Among the purely orchestral pieces, the

Evangelion Soundtracks: Part 1
Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion OST Vol.1 - Various Artists by  berlioz

Advantages: Absolutely delightful with plenty of different musical styles to keep things varied
Disadvantages: "Asuka Strikes!" is really horrendous

.... The sound quality is crisp and clear, with none of the instruments drowning out in too wet a mix. The availability is a whole other matter. Originally released under the Japanese Geneon label, the rights for international distribution were bought by BMG who undertook to re-release just about all the Evangelion soundtracks. I have no idea whether any of these are still in print, though considering the popularity of the music (as well as the series), I would not rule out the possibility. The best bet would be to check Amazon or eBay for used copies as there always seems to be some available (usually going at around £6-12). CONCLUDING WORDS The Neon Genesis Evangelion Original Soundtrack Vol.1 is a very good introduction to the music of Evangelion and is quite a fun album overall. Orchestrating Music with Colourful Dialect
Review of Panorama - Colours of the Orchestra by  berlioz

Advantages: Great performances of popular favourites and some rare gems
Disadvantages: Barely none, with perhaps slight issues with sound.

...and it is indeed music I could decadently play and get fat by just sitting and listening to it. And with the added comical side effect, it always reminds me of Michael Palin riding on his bike in the middle of the English countryside in one of the Monty Python sketches, naively happy, which the music only enhances. It is followed by the most excellent "Funeral March of a Marionette" that Gounod wrote to parody a particularly disagreeable critic practically nobody liked. Unfortunately for Gounod, the critic happened to die before he had a chance to dedicate the work to him. Most famous as the title theme for Alfred Hitchcock Presents, it is cumbersomely bumbling and comically amusing (though unfortunately the version included here is the shorter, edited version of the too rarely performed work). ...This album "Fijacion Oral Volumen 1" in original language is made all of them in Spanish (her maternal language) with with interesting song, with the colaboration of Singers as Alejandro Sanz from Spain, Gustavo Cerati from Angertina that having a due in some songs like "La Tortura" (The torture) with Alejadro Sanz that sounded as a promotional single of this album was a Number 1 Rating in Lima's Radio Stations one year ago. From this album sound two songs "La tortura" that I comment lines up and "No" a ballad that had an important Top on Radios' Rankings. On my own opinion, this album dislike a little than the others Shakira's productions because her compositions don't have the same quuality of the another songs like "Laudry Service"'s album or "Pies Descalzos"' album This album having an interesting songs like: Entre tus pupilas...
