...lyrics mc's use and if everybody who " spat bars " about having a gun, then the current gun crime rates would be a lot worse. The production on the album is very good, with such names as Wiley, Plastician, Maniac and JME himself. This album will set standards for grime album releases in terms of production. All in all, " Famous? " is a good, but by no means great album. Most of the songs released on the album were already available in some sort before the album itself was released, making some tracks a bit repetitive on the first listen to the album. Also many lyrics have been used on freestyles by JME, which is also fairly annoying. Out of 10 I would give the album a 7. It is a very steady debut, but certaintly no match for Dizzie Rascal's " Boy In Da Corner " Or Wiley's " Treddin On Thin Ice ". The album will appeal to the more clean... Read review

DJWally and the famous monsters
Review of Famous Monsters - Misfits by  DJWally

Advantages: Great Melodic punk with heavy guitars & great songs/
Disadvantages: Not the most diverse album out there.

...Michael Graves, the Misfits of the 90's are a tighter, heavier band. Taking a cue from their most famous fans, The Misfits have beefed up their sound with Metallic(a?) guitars, and smartened up thier songwriting. Some diehards out there may disagree with me, but the quality of songwriting on this album surpasses anything in their back catalogue. Songs like "Dust to Dust" and "Die Monster Die" are pure pop-punk heaven, backed up with some truly heavy guitars. On the other hand, "Descending Angel" and the 50's tinged "Saturday Night" are both strangly affecting, twisted almost-love songs. The sound and production throughout are flawless, and the cover is a strking band portrait painted by 50's EC comics genius Basil Gogos. This a wonderful package, reommended listening for any Halloween party.... Read review

Orchestrating Music with Colourful Dialect

Advantages: Great performances of popular favourites and some rare gems
Disadvantages: Barely none, with perhaps slight issues with sound.

...and it is indeed music I could decadently play and get fat by just sitting and listening to it. And with the added comical side effect, it always reminds me of Michael Palin riding on his bike in the middle of the English countryside in one of the Monty Python sketches, naively happy, which the music only enhances. It is followed by the most excellent "Funeral March of a Marionette" that Gounod wrote to parody a particularly disagreeable critic practically nobody liked. Unfortunately for Gounod, the critic happened to die before he had a chance to dedicate the work to him. Most famous as the title theme for Alfred Hitchcock Presents, it is cumbersomely bumbling and comically amusing (though unfortunately the version included here is the shorter, edited version of the too rarely performed work).
