...Ryan Adams would probably have no problem with me describing him as "the bastard son of GramParsons". Not only does the whole alt-country scene owe a great debt to the country rock pioneers of those days, but Adams seems to be living the same troubled life that led parsons to death at such a young age. Starting in punk bands, as anyone of a similar age seems to have done, he first found recognition with Whiskeytown, a raw aged country-rock hybrid that suffered from an ever-changing line up due to Adams own difficult nature. It was probably obvious to all concerned that Adams would find a better place as a solo musician, reducing the need for diplomacy and compromise that have never been his strong point, but which are skills that are required to hold a band together.

I am one of those people who has a very wide and varied taste in music. I like music from the 70's, from the 80's, from the 90's and some of the recent stuff.
Okay so I don’t like everything! However, my favourite music, something you are more likely to find in my personal CD player, or on my stereo is house music and in particular this CD - Clubland X-treme.... which is my opinion is the mother of all CD's!
Clubland X-treme would only be suitable for those people who like dance music, go clubbing and like loud techno sounds. For those of you who have heard of The Ministry of Sound and own anything by them, you wouldn’t go far wrong with this album.

Advantages: infectious music, a variety of guest stars Disadvantages: two bad tracks
...under the name "Girls On Top", he really emerged into the limelight when he turned out to be behind the Sugababes' revival. Reeling from the defection of original member Siobhan Donaghy and dropped by their record label, the fabulous "Freak Like Me" brought them instant fame and helped them gain back their credibility. A storming track which combines Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me" with Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric?", it combined electro-pop and raunchy lyrics with the 'Babes' sweet, innocent-sounding vocals. Apparently Adina Howard was offered the opportunity to use her own vocals on this version but turned it down. Silly woman. Still her loss was the Sugababes, and X's, gain and this version is far more memorable than Howard's original!
