Starting in october 2001 Mike Skinners "The Streets" have proved very successful with their first single, Has it come to this. His different style in whcih he made songs by singing/freestyling about events in his life which he has faced. Compared to his first album Original Pirate material A Grand don't come for free features a very different baseline with a more matured style of tracks with listeners being able to relate with the songs and will move listeners with these songs all being wrote about everyday things that effects everyone in life from finding a bird, getting dumped or falling out with friends.
One song that really stands out from the rest is track number 10, Dry your eyes. Dry your eyes is a song which does not follow Mike's usually trait into song writing but is a hit with all genders and ages and is a real tear jerker for anyone who has had a bad experience with love and wants to forget and move on.
This album features 11 songs which range in length being from 3 minutes to 8.
