Grand Hammering (+DVD) - Gloomy Grim

Advantages: Great lyrics, story like format, something a bit different!
Disadvantages: Not to everyones tase, one weak track

It tells the story of one of those days where everything goes wrong and you feel like you've accomplished nothing. It starts off with Mike explaining his days plans; to return a DVD, tell his mum he wouldn't be back for tea and get his savings - of course none of it goes to plan; "Today I've achieved absolutely nought In just being out of the house, I've lost out If I wanted to end up with more now I should've just stayed in bed, like I know how" In this track Mike's savings, a grand, go missing while all his mates... Advantages: ground breaking concept album
Disadvantages: some of the tracks are a bit samey but they all need to be on album!

...mates, meets a girl, falls in love, breaks up, realises his mates aren't that bad. Ok it sounds really corny, but it is all very well told and Mike has a gift of making it seem like he is just talking to you on the phone or in the pub. Ok onto the CD ~Track 1~ It was Supposed to be so Easy~ This track has quite a grand opening and you almost expect some sort of ground breaking statement about the world, life in general, a political message or something....but no, Mike has to return a DVD, get some money out of the cash point (just a day in the life of any one else right). Basically he gets to the DVD shop, just in time before it closes so he won't get a fine...oh no! The DVD is not in the case arrghhh! Goes to the cash point - insufficient funds doh! Advantages: Some amazing songs and truley incredable talent
Disadvantages: only 5 songs :(

...If I'm honest this is band I've known about ever since I can remember however only in a mick take of them. My uncle knew about them and use to make a joke out of there music. Because it was death metal band and had a lot of growls not many people enjoyed the beauty of them. I grew up just known the band Cannibal Corpse and the fact that they played a song called Hammer smashed faced (very pleasant name huh? All these wonderful named songs I listen to =P) that was a very aggressive and harsh song although personally, I had never heard the song so like my uncle and the rest of the family I mocked the band's song. During the past years I started to get into the darker side of music, it only started of with bands like good charlotte, evanescence and panic at the disco but that slowly crept into things like bullet for my valentine and Trivuim...
