Advantages: ground breaking concept album Disadvantages: some of the tracks are a bit samey but they all need to be on album!
...mates, meets a girl, falls in love, breaks up, realises his mates aren't that bad.
Ok it sounds really corny, but it is all very well told and Mike has a gift of making it seem like he is just talking to you on the phone or in the pub. Ok onto the CD
~Track 1~ It was Supposed to be so Easy~
This track has quite a grand opening and you almost expect some sort of ground breaking statement about the world, life in general, a political message or something....but no, Mike has to return a DVD, get some money out of the cash point (just a day in the life of any one else right). Basically he gets to the DVD shop, just in time before it closes so he won't get a fine...oh no! The DVD is not in the case arrghhh! Goes to the cash point - insufficient funds doh!
Oh my god where is that grand that he left in his house?! It's gone!

Advantages: Relaxing Disadvantages: slightly non consisten
...Team Sleep features Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno and his longtime friend, guitarist Tom Wilkinson. Along with DJ Crook, this debut album brings what some might call the moodyness, but i prefer the chilled out factor of Deftones' later work. The album possesses little of Deftones' hardness.

Advantages: Unique sound, feel happy music Disadvantages: Muddled and becomes boring.
...'The Go! Team' released this, the first album in 2004 under the Memphis Industries lable. Wikipedia describes them as:
"A British, Brighton-based six piece band (with two drummers) whose songs are a mixture of action theme songs, cheerleader chants, guitars and early hip-hop, with a hint of '70s funk. Their songs are a mix of live instrumentation and samples from various sources."
I read several reviews from both consumers and independent reviewers, most of which were raving about how good, new and unique the 'GO! Team' were. When they were nominated for the Murcury Music prize in 2005, i listened to some small soundbites on the net, was interested, and then decided to buy it and see for myself.
My feelings when listening went like this:
stage 1 - interest
stage 2 - bemusement
stage 3 - boredom
stage 4- wondering...
