1942 A Love Story is a Hindi language film aka Bollywood film and as its title depicts it is set in 1942. This was a time of a lot of freedom fighting taking place in India against the British who had been in rule for quite some time. PLOT SUMMARY Naren is the rather spoilt son of the rich Diwan Hari Singh who is famous for sucking up to the British who are ruling over India. Naren doesn?t seem to do much with his life aside from ride horses and gallivant around being self-indulgent. That is, until he meets Rajeshwari, or Rajjo, as he calls her. It?s love at first sight for him and she very soon returns his feelings. Review of 1942 A Love Story (Hindi Language) (DVD)

A love story for babies!

Advantages: positive, nice illustrations
Disadvantages: none!

I was bought this book as a christening present for my daughter. I doubt I would have ordinarily picked it up or even looked at it as I'd probably look at the title and think it wasn't exactly an action-packed book but about emotions instead which my daughter can't u nderstand at her young age. However, I have read this to her several times and althuogh at first I thought it was quite cringeworthy and strange reading to her about love when was only 8 months old, I do now really like this book. The book isn't 'baby proof' as the pages are paper as appose to the board books which babies should really have to cut down on paper cuts, ripping of paper and general chewing of it! So I don't leave this with my baby to play with but use it more of a bed time story. The cover itself is hardboard though so if she feels a need for a gnaw ...

Review of That's Love - Sam Williams

Forget the Kids, I loved this!

Advantages: great story, good acting, good funny bits
Disadvantages: Russell Brand is in it!

did a great job in the role of Skeeter as his character was daft and this for me is what he does best. I think he had a great chemistry with both of the children and this did show throughout the film. The addition of Skeeter?s best friend du make me groan when I first saw him as he was played by Russell Brand but after watching the film I have to admit that he is changing in my eyes as when he is acting he seems to do a great job, it is just in real life he acts like a complete tit. He brought a lot of humour to the film. There were a lot of supporting actors and actresses in this film and they all did a wonderful job and they really got into it with all the dressing up they did and all the parts which they played in the stories. I personally found Guy Pierce was my favourite supporting actor and I loved the slimy character which he ...
