...The third studio album from the Frank and Walters proves that they are still a great indie-pop band. The highlights on this album are tracks 1 Plenty Times and track 6 Something Happened To Me. Great stuff from the Irish band that left the music scene for a few years after their first stunning album Trains Boats and Planes. With a new album due out next month, maybe the Frank and Walters will finally achieve worldwide success that has been on the cards since way back and the early Walters Trip single.... Read review

...The fourth studio album from the Frank and Walters is actually quite a disappointment. For a band that I have always loved and enjoyed their quirky music, this album is really depressing. Gone are the guitar songs, happy lyrics that make you smile and in comes the keyboards, drum loops and depressing “arty” lyrics. Yeah, the songs are really well written but it just doesn’t sound like those loveable Franks anymore. It's like someone has given them a Kraftwerk album and they have been listening to it constantly. The track “Underground” is a little more upbeat than the rest which are depressing. It’s not quite as bad as Radiohead depressing but they are getting a bit too close for my liking.... Read review

..., but not the most terrific voice in the world. If you haven't seen the film that this soundtrack comes from (though I cannot think of anyone who hasn't), it is all set in New York City and Yonkers, New York. Barbra Streisand as Dolly Levi, the matchmaker who is trying to match up Walter Matthau (Horace Vandergelder) with a wife, but Dolly Levi ends up snaring Horace for herself, and at the same time manages to fix up two young couples - Michael Crawford/Marianne McAndrew and E.J.Peaker/Danny Lockin. One of the most outstanding songs on this track is "Before the Parade Passes by" with Dolly marching through the centre of the parade as she sings and the song says it all that Dolly is determined to get out of widowhood and make a life for herself. The street that the parade takes place on is 14th street and was specially constructed for the film... Read review
