Advantages: The quality of Flower Kings with a dark rock edge. Disadvantages: Only a single album!! We need more!
..., you can hear the wind in the background. The song slowly creeps forward with the keyboards when Daniel Gildenlow starts to sing. The first verse feels really dark and Daniels strained voice gives you the impression that this song is going to erupt into something quite special in the chorus. The chorus feels like it's not quite peaked yet, with Daniels voice softening, and then returning to the whispery strained tones of the first verse. His breathyness adds an unexpected sexiness on a Flower Kings album that you do not see coming. At the end of the song he really let's himself go and it feels like the release you have waited for all through the song. This song is not heard but more thrust upon you. It's the perfect song to play if you want to seduce someone. They won't be able to resist you!

Advantages: 14 amazing tracks, another fine release from King Prawn Disadvantages: May not be to everyones taste.
...Here is the album which was self financed by King Prawn and has now got itself a label and that label is Golf Records. It is a 14 track album of the usual mix of ska, punk, hip hop and metal. You never know what to expect with a King Prawn album as they draw so many influences and this is reflected in their songs as every one is different with many different genres intertwined to create that sound that only King Prawn can.
Each and every one of these songs is superb in its own right but for me there are some songs which really stand out from the crowd as they have that all original King Prawn sound and these songs are 'The Dominant View,' 'Smoke Some Shit,' 'Raise The Banner,' 'Viva Devi,' 'Caught Inna Rut' and 'Satan's Folly.' These are all superb tunes and I feel that these are the key tracks on the album although all are great...

Advantages: Really impressive action adventure score, one of the best of 2005 Disadvantages: Some action scenes a little unremarkable
..., doing the job but very little else (think of the replacement score for Troy, minus all the careful research Yared made). With King Kong Howard doesn't break any new ground, but as far as replacement scores go, it is consistently enjoyable and definitely better than any Media Ventures endeavor done in the past (the number one boys for replacements). This is an old fashioned score. It is all orchestral, with very few electronics in sight which is something to be grateful for.
Beginning with the main title "King Kong" we are introduced to the two predominating themes: the Island Theme and the Kong Theme. The Island Theme is a very mysterious, minor-keyed motif that immediately evokes the strange and misty lands that have been forgotten by time. Kong's theme on the other hand is a big, descending four-note motif that is more primal and does...
