Advantages: A Chance to hear Classical music work so well with Hip Hop and Jazz Disadvantages: None what so ever.
...The diary of Alicia Keys is a brilliant album which combines a wide variety of sounds in a unique way. Alicia Keys uses her raw talent effortlessly to create a vibrant hip hop and soulful classic sound which combined, creates the type of music you do not want leaving your CD player.
Track 1 Harlem’s Nocturne: In this track Alicia Keys has explored the use of semi-quavers in a free and expressive tempo. Such characteristics are usually found in classical pieces. Towards the end of the song the tempo changes to moderate and steady, therefore creating a perfect example of how well classical and hip hop sounds work. Advantages: Jack White & Brendan Benson Disadvantages: A Bit Depressing
...The Raconteur's (Jack Lawrence, Brendan Benson, Jack White and Patrick Keeler) Debut album, Broken Boy soldiers is a breath of fresh air in the music world! Benson & White's vocals go surprisingly well together and the album manages to retain a good blues feel to it throughout (although this is mainly a rocky album). White's haunting guitar playing and solos bring a great "AIR" to the songs. Backed up by Keeler's superb Drumming and Held together by Jack Lawrence's chunky Baselines. I'm going to stick with "Steady, As She Goes" (track 1) as the best song on the album and unsurprisingly this was released as a single.
Cover/Inlay: On the cover is a gothic-style photo of the band.
Track List:
1. Steady, As She Goes
2. Hands
3. Broken Boy Soldier
4. Intimate Secretary
5. Together
6. Level
7. Store Bought Bones

...~~~ Background ~~~
Our Lady Peace are an Canadian band and have been around since 1994 when their first album “Naveed” was released. The album review for this is their fifth album “Gravity” I bought the album after hearing “Not Enough” from the album on WWE wrestling programming. Instantly liking the passion about it I bought the album from HMV.
~~~ The tracks on the album ~~~
The album contains only ten tracks and has a complete running time of 41 minutes and 32 seconds. The figures in brackets are the run times for each song.
1. All For You (4.14) – A brilliant tune to open the album full of rock and recognisable lyrics.
2. Do You Like It (3.58) – One of the more recognisable songs of the album with great tune and lyrics. I find myself singing along to this a lot.
3. Somewhere Out There (4.11) – One of the slower songs...
