Advantages: Fresh, studio sounding, Raine's lyrics Disadvantages: Sounds too polished, A lack of Raine's "paranoid" vocals

Thats the first thing that hits ... ...the same time not soundinglike them.
Sorry for that little rant, the lyrics although also sounding like OLP again sound different, too much form and too much commeercial appeal perhaps, as this for one seems to have a chorusey part thats very evidentally a chorus. Maybe I'm being harsh on one of my favourite bands because the song isn't bad, it's just not what I've come to expect from the group. Perhaps this is the problem. Still a good song in ...

Advantages: Like there previous albums but better. Disadvantages: Not many songs on the album.
...Our Lady Peace's album Gravity is their fifth album that was released in 2002. The Canadian band's album features songs "Somewhere Out There” Do You Like It” and “Not Enough” The whole album has variety like their previous albums of slow and fast loud rock songs. I find this a great album to relax to. I really recommend this album for any one who hasn’t heard Our Lady Peace before it gives you a full taste of there abilities overall. ...

Advantages: Some great songs here Disadvantages: more commercial maybe
Gravity is Our Lady Peace's 5th studio offering and is one of the best.
It has more of a commercial feel to it, but then when a band becomes more popular, as OLP have in Canada and indeed Britain, what do you expect?
They are from Canada and happen to be one of the country's biggest music exports, even if they are not that well known in chart circles they are bigger than you'd expect.
This album has sensational songs on it, but unfortunately these ... ...the album with the first 5 songs being the best.
These songs are very memorable and will stick with you i'm sure. The rest sort of prop up this album as it falls into mediocrity, but they do just manage to do that and each of the latter songs deserves some credit.
OLP's musci is a mix of emotionally driven rock with some heavier parts, some more laid back parts. It is not nu-metal in any way, thankfully.
One of the best parts of their music and ...

Advantages: OK if you like cheesy rock Disadvantages: Not their best album
Our Lady Peace are a Canadian rock band which have had a fair amount of local success, but are little known this side of the pond. I enjoyed their two previous albums ('Happiness is not a fish that you can catch' and 'Spiritual Machines'). Spiritual Machines was a concept album which actually worked quite well, based upon an old Ray Kurzweil book about how Machines will out evolve us. However, since then, their guitarist left on 'artistic grounds', ... ...soft/cheesy rock, but with this they have crossed the line, with songs like 'Innocent', you feel like there is little left to say other than cliches.
I had been waiting for this album eagerly for a long time before it was released, but I have to say that I am dissapointed. It isn't that it is a really bad album, but I won't listen to it frequently like the two which precede it. ...

Advantages: Some stunning lyrics and vocals Disadvantages: The opening four tracks are all very similar
...As many of you can perhaps tell, music is one of my main passions in life; I simply love finding out about a variety of different artists, both new and old, in hope of broadening my once narrow tastes.
OurLadyPeace were another band from across the pond which I discovered by watching WWE programming. Romantic, huh? Anyway, the first track that I'd ever heard of by them was a song called 'Whatever', which you can only purchase via the Live CD and DVD. Being extremely impressed with their angry guitars and drum beats alike, I was also fascinated by their lead singer's lunatic like vocals; they were certainly not anything like you'd hear on the commercial radio stations, which enticed me even more into finding out a little more about them.
The band itself consists of four members. This has changed quite a lot over time, with many...
