...man feel like he has the rhythmn to strut across the dancefloor, when all he looks like is a paralysed duck. The song was written by Barry Gibb, and it is a perfect representation of the film, and the mood it created when it was released in 1978, and even though the film should look dated, and so should the music, to me it still sounds fresh. This is my most favourite soundtrack of all time. Since I first watched the film I was addicted to it and know all the words to the songs. I had this soundtrack on tape originally but I listened to it so much it sounds a bit dodgy now. In parts of it the music goes slow and patchy. This then forced me into getting it on cd. There are 24 tracks on the album but the last song is the first song being repeated.That is grease, which is played at the start of the film when all the title names are going up. ...a many splendored thing 24: Grease (reprise) And it all weighs in at just under 52 minutes. You would have expected more from 24 tracks, wouldn't you? But then, there are a lot of one and a half minute tracks in there. So there you have it. As you can see, the songs on the album are in nothing like the order that they are in the film. ...a musical it is easy to relate the tracks to the film. Full credit also to Newton-John and Travolta for their performances on a vast and varied range of songs. There are a few odd rather than weak points on the album, but they are not bad and they are not the focus of the film or soundtrack in any case. ...After writing a review on the Touring Production of Grease I thought that I would write a review on the original movie soundtrack. As we all know, Grease is a musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. I am not reviewing the film, so I will just mention the basics. Sandy and Danny meet during the summer and then again at school. The film then covers what happens to them and there are songs for each step of the way. We all know the film and we all know the songs. You can't help but sing along to them. I have listed The tracks as they are on the CD. This is not in the order of the film.
