Why has Grease gone down so well as a classic? Is it a movie or a musical? I think musical. The soundtrack has all the songs from the movie on it but personally I think that they are too old to still be enjoyed today by young people because they have a golden oldies style (shudder). Personally this is definitely NOT my cup of tea, in fact I wouldn't buy it in a million years, but from an unbiased point of view I would say that the album is quite good from an older point of view but definitely not from a modern perspective. A great classic but not one for the more modern people amongst us... However it is great for karaoke as everyone knows the words to it whether they are a fan of grease or not!
