Most people's perception would be that this is a sound track from a kitsch musical so therefore the music wouldn't be too good.
How wrong they are. This 24 song album has a lot of very good tracks on it and the singing ability of John Travolta is a revelation. Olivia Newton-John's singing is of the high standard you would expect and if you haven't heard Frankie Valli sing before (he was especially big in the 1960s and 70s) then you are in for a very pleasant surprise.
The tracks are by various artists. Particularly good are the following:
Frank Valli singing "Grease" (Tracks 1 and 24) Olivia Newton-John - Hopelessly Devoted To You John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John - Your The One That I Want John Travolta - Sandy (this is the highlight of the album in my opinion) John Travolta - Greased Lightning Sha-na-na - Blue Moon Sha-na-na - Tears On My Pollow
This album may be perceived by those who look down their noses at musical sound tracks as not worthy of acclaim but in my judgment it is a very good body of work.
