Now ordinarily I am a huge fan of bowling for soup and loved all of their other albums such as “hangover you don’t deserve” and “Drunk enough to dance” but frankly this was a disappointment to me; I had been looking forward to their new album coming out and was let down considerably.

For anyone who doesn’t know bowling for soup are an old school sort of band that create punk rock songs featuring mainly around as one of the song titles suggests “High School Never Ends” and for these big rock stars I don’t think it ever has done!! Their songs seem to revolve around such topics such as not calling girlfriends back. These used to be all quiet mature matters (within school anyway!) seeming to appeal to me more as I am in the top end of the school system but I think with the introduction of “High School Musical” they have started to gravitate towards cheap poppy song that are simply fads and one hit wonders (if that!) they used to be a serious Rock band that were not suitable for children but now if I go onto iTunes I find a clean version of their song on a Disney album; is this really the right look for them?

I love Bowling for Soup and sincerely hope they improve but in the mean time here is my opinion on all the tracks on the CD;

1. Epiphany
-4/5 stars compared to other tracks on CD

-I don’t know what an epiphany is but this has some catchy riffs

2. High School Never Ends
-5/5 stars compared to other tracks on CD
-4/5 stars compared to all Bowling for Soup Tracks
-Their single and a very good but poppy song

3. Val Kilmer
-5/5 stars compared to other tracks on CD
-3/5 stars compared to all Bowling for Soup Tracks
-a very good song but at a different angle to previous songs more spoken word that and story telling than ranting

4. I'm Gay
-3/5 stars compared to other tracks on CD
-2/5 stars compared to all Bowling for Soup Tracks
-A very immature song which has a mature tune but lyrics ruin it

5. Why Don't I Miss You?
-3/5 stars compared to other tracks on CD

-Too slow for my liking but voices go well with tune

6. A Friendly Goodbye

- back to their normal hate songs but good by their track record on this record but again seems like little kids liking rude words

7. Luckiest Loser

-again very slow and more mature than others and has a good tune in the verse and good lyrics in chorus

8. Love Sick Stomach Ache (Sugar Coated Accident)

-beginning reminds me of some their original material but track slips into poppy style too much for me

9. Much More Beautiful Person
