...most recent album is “The Great Burito Extortion case” which I am writing this review on. The Band has four members, Jaret Reddick the main singer and also guitarist. Erik Chandler and Chris Burnley on Guitars and backing vocals. Finally Gary Wiseman on drums who replaced Lance Morril in 1998. ~~~The songs~~~ 1. Epiphany (4:10) This is a great song to get you started into the “bowling for soup” experience; it is fast, exciting and has great lyrics. ...
...the song and is a great opener to the album. Lyrics: 7 / 10 Catchiness: 8 / 10 Overall: 8 / 10 2. High School Never Ends (3:29) This is the most thought provoking song on the album. It starts off by talking about how bad high school is with the “stuck up chicks” and “stupid d*cks” and then says High school never ends so relates high school to modern day celebrity lives. Advantages: Fun, energetic, and exciting Pop Punk. The band never take themselves too seriously.
Disadvantages: The humour displayed on this album may not be to everyone's taste.

...appealing to me. I'm a great fan of light-hearted music, and Bowling For Soup are by all accounts a band that never take themselves too seriously. With track titles such as 'I'm Gay' and an album called 'The Great Burrito Extortion Case' in fact, I think it's clear for all to see just how serious this band take things and this is really quite a fresh thing to see in music today. Too many bands take themselves far too seriously and perhaps a few more ...
...fun, the band possess a great energy as they blast their way through this album and never do their bouncy numbers fail to impress me. 'A Friendly Goodbye' has to be one of my favourite tracks from this album, it contains an upbeat and bouncy chorus and coming around the albums centre is a definite highlight from this album. ...album was 'Okay, not a great deal different to Hangover You Don't Deserve'. Bowling for Soup stick to the same pattern we've come to expect of them over the years. There are still numerous rants about ex-girlfriends (A Friendly Goodbye), ex-friends (Friends like You and Luckiest Loser), and never quite fitting in anywhere (High School Never Ends), all done in the same happy pop-punk style. It seems on first listen that it's possible to dismiss this ...
...But when you take a closer listen to some of the tracks they seem to have more of a profound message to them. It seems quite odd to think of the band writing a song that many of their fans would find relatable and thought provoking, but this is exactly what they accomplish with Much More Beautiful Person. Now ordinarily I am a huge fan of bowling for soup and loved all of their other albums such as “hangover you don’t deserve” and “Drunk enough to dance” but frankly this was a disappointment to me; I had been looking forward to their new album coming out and was let down considerably. ...don’t think it ever has done!! Their songs seem to revolve around such topics such as not calling girlfriends back. These used to be all quiet mature matters (within school anyway!) seeming to appeal to me more as I am in the top end of the school system but I think with the introduction of “High School Musical” they have started to gravitate towards cheap poppy song that are simply fads and one hit wonders (if that!) they used to be a serious Rock ...
