Advantages: Great taste, sauces were very nice, easy to cook. Disadvantages: None
I am a huge fan of Indian food and when I saw these advertised on TV I just knew that I had to try them!
I purchased the 75 piece Indian Platter box for £5.00 and inside I received 25 vegetable samosas, 25 vegetable pakoras and 25 onion bhajis. There were also two dips in the form of mango chutney & spicy tomato and onion. The dips were quite small and I actually got some more mango chutney from the fridge and also had a small pot of barbeque sauce as I love barbeque sauce with everything!
I opened the three bags containing the food and then emptied them out on to a baking tray (no platter tray provided). I cooked them for around 18 minutes on gas mark 6 until they were hot throughout and slightly darker in colour.
The vegetables in the three bites were very crunchy and tasty and they very filled up just the right amount so that ...
Advantages: Outstanding story, beautifally written, good insight to American society and great symbolism. Disadvantages: Perhaps tragic
"TheGreat Gatsby" is seen by many to be one of the best novels of the 20th century. The two main characters being Gatsby and Daisy are suppose to in some regards symbolise F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda.
This truly is a magnificent novel in every essence and I could not recommend it more. The novel in many ways is regarding the so called 'Jazz Age' and the prohibition era which has caused bootlegging.
In many ways, Jay Gatsby is the man who has everything, the man who everyone wants to know and find out about. His mansion is always full of beautiful, bright young things, partying very hard. He is stuffed with cash, but no one really knows why or how and he apparently has the world right at his feet. But then one day it all starts to unravel. For more details on the plot you can simply go to the wikipedia page for a full ...
Advantages: An interesting new studio album from a band with a strong pedigree Disadvantages: A few duds. Takes time to appreciate
a single.
THE ALBUM
The following is a play list of the album and I have added my own personal mark out of five.
Lie To Me (2:23) ****
We are rushed head long into a raw, guttural uncompromising opening song. The drum and bass backing is harsh and direct. The words are of hurt and betrayal. The chorus is a curious somewhat distorted and repeated single phrase (?If you lie to me again??) which cuts off unexpectedly to silence at the end of the track.
Time (3:58) ****
To an insistent drum throb, Chrissie sings a laid back languid ballad (the emphasis is on the ?Give Me Some Time?). Her classic vibrato is well to the fore as are her rushes up and down the vocal scale.
You Know Who Your Friends Are (3:30) *****
Here is a much more recognisable Pretenders sound with the pronounced stutter in her voice over ...
