...I have been dying my naturally dark brown hair blonde for years and I was eager to try going back to brunette without having the commitment of a permanent colourant. The light brown shade came out a beautiful natural medium golden brown on my dyed blonde hair and it covered it completely. It lasts quite well too, in fact my only problem with this product was that it never quite washed out completely - I am well over 28 washes now, had a week holiday by the sea and my hair although faded a lot, still isn't blonde - it's stuck halfway between the brown and my earlier blonde colour. The helpline said that this is because my hair had been coloured before, should I have been a natural blonde, the dye would have gone now completely. ...'m also not sure why I decided to use Loreal Casting to do so, but I did, and I'm really glad of it. This was the first brand of dye that I used, and I was really pleased with the results. I have since tried other brands - Garnier Nutrisse and I think one by Wella - but I've always came back to this brand, as I find it's the easiest to use and gives the best and longest lasting results. ~~About the dye~~ This hair dye is a tone on tone gel colourant and contains no ammonia. It promises to give Natural looking colour and ultra-shiny highlights. This will cover first greys The box states that this will last up to 6 weeks with no visible roots, but I have found it to last something nearer to 10 weeks. ~~Packaging and contents~~ This comes in a pink box which is very similar to the one pictured, although I believe the one shown... Advantages: Lovely hair colour, shimmery, smooth. Conditioning.

...-Why I chose this product / my history with the product - To be honest, I don't often colour my hair. The only time I ever do it is to just cover the fact that my hair has suddenly become absolutely, unbelievably frizzy! and so it should be, the way I look after it. My hair touches my hip and it is a light/medium kind of browny colour. I have used this product three times before, sort of every 3 months or so. This time, I bought it and hadn't actually used it for about 7 months. I sometimes use it to dye my hair for special occasions and so that's another reason why I'm not really a regular user. The reason I do this is because I feel that dying your hair, especially a darker colour than you are now, makes it shinier and conditioned for a short while.
