Greatest Hits - Cherrelle

Advantages: Classic album shocasing the best of 2pac
Disadvantages: A few weak tracks, which should not have been included

...Greatest hits albums are usually not considered as classics nor generally do they define the pinnacle of an artist's career. However when it comes to 2pac's greatest hits there is an exception. Why is there an exception, well it can be put down to 2 major reasons. Firstly he was in the mid 90's the most famous rapper. Although his fame did not reach the heights as the likes of Eminem or Jay-Z today, he was still nevertheless reasonably famous and an exceptionally talented rapper. Secondly and perhaps most importantly though was the tragic fact that he had died just shortly before the release of this album. 2pac had been shot dead in a murder case that is still unresolved till this day and has been the subject of many conspiracy theories. Sure, Knockin' On Heaven's Door was good, Live And Let Die was pretty damn good too, but on a Greatest Hits, covers should be more scarce (especially when they are Since I Don't Have You and Sympathy For The Devil - Tolerable, yes, greatest hits? Advantages: All the songs are brilliant

...When I first found this Cher's Greatest Hits album, I had never heard any other songs by Cher apart from "Believe". And I was disappointed it wasn't on there. So I just assumed that this would be a really dull, boring album with an old woman belting out cheesy songs. But I was gladly mistaken. She's now one of my favourite artists. ~*~ Tracks ~*~ 1 - Oh No Not My Baby This is a really great slow ballad. Whenever I play this in the car I'm always swerving around belting it out. It's a brilliant song about someone hearing everyone saying their boyfriend is cheating on them, but they always kept faith in them and now they're married! It's really good. 2 - Whenever You're Near Another great slow song. It's got a great instrumental aswell. I have to say that it's not one of my favourite songs on the album, but none the less...
