Album Notes: Greatest hits collection from one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 21st century, David Gray. A rousing selection of Gray's biggest indie-folk anthems, this album is a great introduction to the work of a man that single-handedly kick-started the singer-songwriter boom in Britain at the beginning of this century. Includes the tracks 'Babylon' and 'Please Forgive Me'.
Titles on disc 1
1.: You're The World To Me (previously unreleased)
Advantages: Several lively, upbeat numbers, that you will soon be singing along to! Disadvantages: The disappointment of the title track 'Sell, Sell, Sell'
...a big hit in Ireland, unsurprinsgly on late night radio! The 3rd verse is quite scary. Avid Gray fans will tell you that there are a number of tracks with lyrics which appear to be in reference to the September 11th tragedy- such as 'A Clean Pair of Eyes' and a track off his latest album called 'Freedom' which was written just days before the tragedy. As for this song the lyrics 'New York was dark, dirty and stark burnin' with yellow wings. Every day come with fever and hum, who knows what it brings?' really are quite powerful in light of the event.
3- 'Sell,Sell,Sell'

Advantages: Wide range of music; some truly great tracks; consistently high quality Disadvantages: Very few, perhaps only that it is very slighty shorter than previous albums
...After a somewhat shaky start with his first three albums, DavidGray Finally hit it big with the self financed White Ladder in '98, but many were asking whether he could ever emulate such a performance again. A New Day at Midnight, David's follow up album certainly made a good attempt, but it is only with the release of Life In Slow Motion that DavidGray has truly cemented his 8 year move from acoustic obscurity to a true musical star.
From the moment Life in Slow Motion begins, you know that the album's going to be a good'un - the opening, faint, tinkling notes of the first track 'Alibi' slowly fade to silence before an explosion of the unique vocal stylings of Gray. This is followed by 'The One I Love', the first single released from the album and by far one of David's best ever songs. Its catchy tune, powerful voice...

...Hey everyone,
DavidGray isn't a legend himself, however I cannot say this for his new album, it's full of some wonderful music, with hard hitting lyrics.
My favourite songs on the album are...
*The One I Love
Great song, catchy tune!
*Hospital Food
Just take a look at the lyrics below, this song has some real style and meaning...
Just a little something for the pain
Hospital food getting you down?
Honey now I'm not one to complain
But this hangin' around
Is wearing me out
So patch me up boys take me home
Are you not hearing a word I say?
She sounds so different on the phone
I just sink like a stone
Back to the bay
Tell me something
Tell me something
I don't already know
Tell me something
Tell me something I don't know
...These are just some of the song, it has a wonderful instrumental...
