Sorry about the title, lol!
I first heard Guns 'N' Roses about 6 years ago, my sister is a huge rock fan and was playing 'Sweet child of mine' in her room. I was instantly hooked, I listened through all of her albums with growing awe and excitement, after hearing 'November rain' I was officially their biggest fan!
Guns 'N' Roses exploded onto the scene in the late eighties with their debut album, 'Appetite for destruction, followed by 'Use your illusion 1 and 2, in my opinion they have gave us some of the best songs that have stood the test of time, even if you are not a fan, you probably know of at least one of their songs, be it 'Sweet child of mine' or 'November rain'. It all had to end when eventually exhaustion made the band fall apart, with Axl Rose apparantly sacking the original members of the band. There has been talk of a new album ( The chinese democracy) being released, but I will not hold my breath! A new band, 'Velvet revolver' has 3 ex gunners, Slash, Duff Mc Kagan and Matt Sorum! So onto the album!
Guns 'N' Roses Greatest hits has all the best songs taken from their different albums.

'Welcome to the jungle'
This is a fast paced rock tune to get you started!

In my opinion the best song of all time! It starts with Axl playing the piano and singing soft lyrics, then the guiter kicks in. I promise you, the hairs will be standing up on your arms and you will get shivers down your spine!

When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained But darlin when I hold you don't you know I feel the same Cause nothin lasts forever and we both know hearts can change And its hard to hold a candle in the cold november rain
'It's so easy'
This is one of the more heavy rock songs that will have you hooked!

It's so easy, easy when everybodys tryin to please me, baby It's so easy, easy when everybodys tryin to pease me, so easy
'Knockin on heaven's door'
The original was by Bob Dylan, but I think most would agree guns had the best version!

'Sweet child 'o mine'
Now most of you will know this one! It is an amazing rock song, with the best guiter rift of all time!
Some lyrics:
She's got a smile that seems to me reminds me of childhood memories where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky now and then, when I see her face she takes me away to that special place and if I stared too long I'd probably break down and cry
'Don't cry' and 'Since I don't have you' are also fantastic songs!

Conclusion
A fantastic album with all of Guns 'N' Roses greatest hits, a must if you are a fan of their music, even if you have only heard one or two Guns 'N' Roses songs, if you liked them, get this, you will be glad you did! I got this album in Virgin for 9.99!

Hey, I've got it since its release, too ! Cool record, indeed: I was rather surprised by hearing it, although there's some fillers in (especially tracks like "Ain't no fun", my least favorite here).
