As everyone I know agrees, this CD is a must-buy; we had it playing on repeat in our house almost all the time for the first week after we bought it, at which point my partner added it to his portable collection and I had to get my own copy for in the house!
A great addition to any rock collection, by Guns n Roses converts and those new to their music alike, this album, released in March 2004, includes all the band's best known and most influential tracks remastered and gathered together on to make a superb single-disk album. These include a combination of songs written by the band themselves and well-performed covers of those written by other people (including Wings' 'Live and Let Die' and Bob Dylan's 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door, both given a distinctive Guns n Roses twist). Particular highlights of the CD of course include the song 'Sweet Child of Mine' and of course the old favourite classic 'Welcome to the Jungle', a song which everyone has certainly heard at least often enough to know all the words. These songs certainly inspired a generation of music, and continue to do so even now, making this CD my all-time favourite, one of very few to which I will give my personal recommendation and approval.
Track Listing: 1) Welcome To The Jungle 2) Sweet Child O' Mine 3) Patience 4) Paradise City 5) Knockin' On Heaven's Door 6) Civil War 7) You Could Be Mine 8) Don't Cry (original) 9) November Rain 10) Live And Let Die 11) Yesterdays 12) Ain't It Fun 13) Since I Don't Have You 14) Sympathy For The Devil
I would definitely recommend that people buy this as a present for the man who has everything else (he hasn't lived until he listens to this), for old rockers (just for the nostalgia value) and for anyone else who likes to listen to something a little bit different. Of course, I recommend that you buy yourself a copy first and have a listen (or at least listen to the copy you're giving away once; I guarantee you'll keep it if you do).
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Half your review is the track listing, which isn't the right balance. How about a bit more about the music for those who aren't already G 'N' R fans?

Sorry for the low rating, but there is a lot more information and opinion needed to make this review helpful. Can I suggest you have a look at some other reviews which have "Helpful" and "Very Helpful" ratings to see what sort of content is required. If you decide to edit this review, leave me a message in my guestbook and I will re-rate. Good luck.
