Advantages: Good music which shows Stevie Wonder’s different styles. Disadvantages: Differences of opinion about greatest hits.
...When reviewing an album with “greatesthits” in the title, by an artist who has used a variety of music styles in his long career, there is bound to be controversy about which tracks should be there. I don’t want to haggle about Stevie Wonder’s best tracks, so far, as I probably wouldn’t end up pleasing many of his fans, if any. (Some critics seem to think that if a song is commercially good, it probably isn’t musically good.) Instead, I want to tell you about the tracks on this album and let you decide whether it is worth buying.
One thing I am sure about is that there is no rubbish on this album. The tracks, to me, are either good or brilliant, therefore, I give the album 5 stars.
A wide range of music influenced Stevie as he grew up including Gospel, Jazz, Reggae, and Motown. All of these influences can be heard on “A Song...

Advantages: Superb playing and well-written music, cliche free Disadvantages: Nothing
...I've been reluctant to write about this CD, since I generally can't string together two words about it. However, it is hands down my favourite DukeEllington CD, so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you all! 'Such Sweet Thunder' is dedicated to the Stratford, Ontario Shakespearean Festival, and all the pieces are based on Shakepeare characters or sonnets. This has absolutely no reflection in the music though, so it's best just to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Track Listing (HUGE, bear with me)
1. Such Sweet Thunder, 2. Sonnet for Caesar, 3. Sonnet to Hank Cinq, 4. Lady Mac, 5. Sonnet in Search of a Moor, 6. The Telecasters, 7. Up And Down, 8. Sonnet for Sister Kate, 9. The Star-Crossed Lovers, 10. Madness in Great Ones, 11. Half the Fun, 12. Circle of Fourths, BONUS TRACKS: 13. The Star-Crossed Lovers, 14. Circle of Fourths, 15...

This CD is one of my favourites of his work, it is a mix of the 'Rat Pack' classics. I have always listened to swing due to the musical interests of my parents. My dad is a huge fan of the Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr.) and has most of the cd's, dvd's etc, available. Although there are one or two songs on this CD that aren't my 'cup of tea' there are so many exceptional choices on it that make up for it.
Tracks on this CD:
1.: I Will Talk Hollywood Will Listen
2.: Mack The Knife
3.: Somethin' Stupid
4.: Do Nothin' 'til You Hear From Me
