...Greatest Hits III brings the trilogy of Greatest Hits albums to an end. It was long awaited, but it was definitely worth the wait. This is the first album to be produced by the group after the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury. Some of the songs on the album are from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert, so it includes songs with George Michael and David Bowie. It is definitely worth buying, if not only to just complete the trilogy. It is another classic by one of the most successful groups of all time and a fitting end to a great legacy.... Read review

Advantages: A nice balance of hits from one of the best bands in the eighties
Disadvantages: One or two bad tracks

...First Death In Vegas, then Republica...and now The Bangles! This is actually one of my sisters albums, but I decided I'd nick it. I think the Bangles are one of the finest 'girl bands' from the eighties. Mind you, in comparison to the likes of Bananarama, I can say that quite easily! Fronted by Suzanna Hoffs as lead singer for the most part with Annette Zilinskas (later Michael Steele), Vicki and Debbi Peterson adding their voices for choice songs, the band were one of the most successful bands of the eighties, but will be forever remembered for their hit track "Eternal Flame" from 1988. That's a shame, as a lot of their other tracks are so much better. ...When i first purchased this album i had only heared a couple of songs by the chain, pretty as much as the cd got in the player i was hooked. When i got the album i thought the title 'greatest hits' was just one of the silly things the band did to be amusing but later learned that they had well over 5 hrs worth of unreleased tunes, so it was infact their greatest hits. From the very start on the cd i was laughing uncontolably, numerous welsh rappers rapping about mothers with peni' and wanting to be a robot. If you are a person who can enjoy all types of music with a good tune and witty lyrics then this is surley one for you.... Read review
