I listened to the album and experienced suc classics (I now realise they are!!) as 'God Of Thunder', 'Detroit Rock City' and 'I was Made For Loving You'. I was awed by the sheer excellence of Kiss!! They really are a band for the ages- ... ...loved was how Kiss can do a really soulful ballard like 'Beth' and put it on the same album as great, classic rock songs like 'Cold Gin' and 'Hard Luck Woman'. I have to say, I didn't find anything negative about this album!! Finally, I think this album is great for young and old alike, for new rock fans and old. Every rock fan must own at least one album by the grandfathers of rock, and I recommend it be this!!!

Something needed to done after the spate of bad releases Kiss had inflicted on their fans. This album was the result of them taking stock and really trying to produce something worth listening to.
The title track gave Kiss their greatesthit in the UK ever (#3 in the charts) and very strong songs from Paul keep the listener glued to the stereo, with excellence in the form of 'I'll Fight Hell to Hold You' and 'My Way'.
Being one of the first albums to have a release to CD only, this is reflected in the amount of tracks offered, but not many of them are space-fillers. Gene once more takes up the role for dishing out the forgettable ones...

Led by Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) accompanied by Steve Jones on guitar, Paul Cook on drums and Glen Matlock on bass, who later left and was replaced by the infamous Sid Vicious. The Sex Pistols were hailed as the Creators of Punk, well in the UK anyway and fired up a youth uprising against the government and generally everything English. Often tabbed as the filth and the fury, which they later adopted for a movie about them, they were hated amongst adults and your average person especially for the controversy caused as they sweared in their music and on TV interviews. never really meant to be sung by a group, it sounds odd and quite bland really, like a lot of their covers. When they do their own stuff its great but on covers they always end up sounding a bit kareoke, especially here. Nothing special really.
Verdict: Covers bad, originals good. Unfortunately GreatestHits album are the kiss of death for pop groups, so I'd suggest you buy this because its great and you'll have something to remember them by!
If you like pop music this is for you, but even if you dont you might be surprised because they incorporate a variety of styles into their music and they really do make good songs that anyone can like! ...
