Hi people!. Just moved to new town called Haverhil, it's on the Suffolk side that boarders Cambridgeshire and Essex, giant step up from Costa Del Corby but soooooo miss all my friends! :o( .

Mariah Carey was born in Long Island, NY on 27th March 1970 to an Irish-American mother and Venezuelan-America father and she is the third child. As a school girl she began singing R&B in NY with Ben Margulies who was her songwriter and best friend and as time went on singing soul, gospel and pop it showed of her amazing voice range that we all know and love today. Before Carey hit the big time with 'VISION OF LOVE' which was massive NO.1 hit in USA she was a struggling waitress untill a friend of her's handed in a demo to Sony Music who were impressed and signed her to Columbia Records!.
In her first year she picked up 2 Grammy awards for Best female and Best new act.
Although Carey is a huge star she has only managed one number 1 hit in the UK with cover of 'WITHOUT YOU' which is one of my favourate song's of her's but Carey has amassed a number of NO.1 singles and albums
like 'DAYDREAMER' which sold over 6million in three months in the USA. By the end of the 90's Carey sold over 110 million albums making her one of the biggest sellinf solo female artist and in 2001 Virgin Records signed her for $80 million... not bad for 31 year old hey??. Then 'GLITTER' came along and film and album flopped and they parted and 2005 came back with top spot album and back to her best!.
Carey has dueted with numerous people like fellow diva Whitney Houston which sang the soundtrack to animated film ''the prince of egypt', boyz2men, Trey Lorenz, Luther Vandross and ...Westlife.
The Album, MARIAH CAREY - GREATEST HITS (2001) is a excelant CD with all the songs we love, with her amazing voice some songs could bring a tear to the eye and 1 or 2 you wished you skiped but thats what i thought but thats just me. There is 2CD to this album which i thought was to much for one Album.

So, there is what i thought about the album, I think it's a great album overall so go out and buy and see for yourself!!.. I won it from auction site( duno if suppose mention site so wont but you know which one im on about!) so did'nt cost much and you can aswell.
