Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish

...the Swiss chart where it was #4. The song itself certainly does contain elements of disco but then the French were always behind trends as far as music went. 5. Don't Stop The Music - Dina Carroll. From 1990 so its at least 20 years too late to be considered disco and it charted in the UK at #84 so it couldn't possibly be considered a hit. It sounds more like a House/Funk fusion if I'm honest, not even slightly like disco. 6. Hit And Run Lover - Carol Jiani. From 1981, it reached #4 on the US Billboard Club Play Singles chart. Its very synth pop and sounds a lot like "Trapped" by Colonel Abrahams. Or "Searching" by Hazel Dean. Its one of those dance music tracks that was really popular in gay clubs that were still mourning the passing of disco and would buy anything that sounded remotely like it. 7. Advantages: All the best songs in one place
Disadvantages: Not worthwhile for the aged-old fan

...channels and maybe it does get the odd bit of 'extra' airtime. (E.g. "Close To Me" being on a BBC Three programme...it's name escapes me, but it may have been the 'Smoking Room'? Answers on a postcard...) Their 'greatest hits' album, released in 2001 through Fiction Records and only done so on the basis that Smith could choose the tracks himself is 19 tracks that show a chronological tale of the band and their music through the years. (Although two of the tracks are brand new!) Opening track "Boys Don't Cry" was released in June 1979, eight years before I was born. Yet with it's instantly recognisable guitar riff it's something that the countless bands since then that have idolised and 'taken influence' from the Cure could take the rest of time to improve on. ...Guess what? Summer's here!! And its time to P A R T Y!! Well don't just stop there and think whats it gonna be like....if you care enough to shake a leg with your partner and bring back those memories of allsuch summers together... then you have it. Your wish has been fulfilled because you have all those tunes packed as a collection of this wonderful Cd set. You want it you got it dance beats...reggae ..Pop and the right rhythm. You really won't have to give yourself a reason to dance as you play this On and On.. Yes there could have been more hits of the era gone by but that would give you a reason to look for another party cd set. Well go ahead and Own it.... Read review
