I'm a long time Offspring fan, since my early teens to late teens, but my interest began to drop off after Splinter was released. I picked this up after spotting it in HMV, and paid £16.99 for it. Quite a bit for a CD, but it had just been released at the time.
So what makes this album so good? Well, if you've got all the other albums, then theres not really any point picking this up as there is only ONE new track - 'Can't Repeat'. But if you've only heard the Offspring casually on the radio or on music channels, then this is the album for you.
The playlist is :
- Self Esteem - The Kids Aren't Alright - The Kids Aren't Alright (Remix) - Gotta Get Away - All I Want - Gone Away - Come Out And Play (Keep“Em Separated) - Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) - Why Don't You Get A Job? - Want You Bad - Original Prankster - (Can't Get My) Head Around You - Defy You - Hit That - Can't Repeat
So thats 15 tracks for your money, which is my case was just over a pound for each track. Which isn't too bad, beats buying a CD with only nine tracks on. The songs themselves are really good quality, and its just a really good collection of tracks.
The tracks are taken from Smash, Americana, Ixnay on the Hombre and Conspiracy of One, and there are none from the Offsprings first two albums (Offspring & Ignition), and of course the bonus track of Can't Repeat, which is only available on the Greatest Hits.
The CD is a pretty groovy gift to buy for a teenage punk rocking kid, and if you haven't got any of the other albums and like the Offspring, you'll love this, as it contains only songs that were actually released as a single, so it'll be worth it to buy. However, if you've got Smash, Americana, Ixnay and Conspiracy, theres nothing really new here, and its definetly not worth the full price of £16.99.

You don't lose a word about the songs. Sorry, but this is the main content here. And of course there is only one new song, because it's a BEST OF. It wouldn't be one, if there were only new songs on it. ^^ Greetz, m_m

Nothing from Offspring or Ignition. Tut, why must bands always forget there beginings. I like you have rather gone of the Offspring of late. They need to get back to the Smash days. Phil :)

not to fond of this disc to be honest. was only ever a casual Offspring fan, but there's not really much to write home about here. if even anything, there's only 1/2 songs i'd play more than once.
