Advantages: excellent Disadvantages: none
...With such stars as Kylie Minogue, RickAstley (remember him?) Steps, Cliff Richard and Bananarama , this album has to be one of the best I have heard for ages. The music contained on it, urges you to sing along. The album also has a tribute to ABBA (possibly the best band of all time (along with Donna Summers who is also on here)?), Westlife and Tina Cousins. Tracks such as Pray, I should be so lucky, tragedy, one for sorrow, this time i know its for real, just keep your feet tapping, your lips moving, and your body swaying. Worth listening....

The Hitman. Review ofHit Factory, The (Pete Waterman's GreatestHits) [ECD] - Various Artistsby

Advantages: Lots of good tracks Disadvantages: A few dongers
...Remember all them great hits that Pete Waterman used to write back in the eighties, he made acts like Bananarama, Brother Beyond and Kylie Minogue famous.
Most of his songs were pure pop, and they were the type of songs you could easily sing and dance to.
Pete Waterman has recently put together an album called The Hit Factory, which features all his greatesthits.
He says on the CD that he would like to thank all the artists, co-producers and record companies, who at most times don't get credited, yet without them we cannot be creative. The album is Pete's view of what makes a hit.
The album is dedicated to his mum.
The album itself has some fantastic tracks on it, I bet you remember Kylie Minogue's I should be so lucky, Kylie and Jason's Especially for you, and RickAstley's Never gonna give you up.
The majority of the tracks...

Advantages: fantastic range of music in a completly random order making it a pleasure to listen to Disadvantages: price increase with the re-release
...Steps, Kylie Minogue and RickAstley are all artists from the stables of pop moguel Pete Waterman and PWL, and all are represented on this classic album.
If you were a teen in the 1980's its got all the classic tunes from the era including Love In The First Degree - Bananarama, Every day (I love you more) - Jason Donovan and I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me - Nik Kershaw, this is mixed with more current hits from the guy's new label PWL in the form of Steps (Tragedy) Stephen Gately (Chiquitita) and the massive charity single (Thank Abba For The Music) which was performed at the 1999 Brit Awards.
The album is just about to be re-released following the TV programs re-airing and I'm pretty sure this one will climb up the compilation charts once again.
One of the strongest albums of this kind I've seen in a long time, and also...
