Most Greatest Hits albums really should be 'Once in a Lifetime', and Texas' really is great. However, if they continue to produce the high quality music of the past few years, then they should be going from strength to strength.
'The Greatest Hits' is an album packed with the recent successes... play it to a friend who thinks they don't know anything but 'Once in a Life time' and you'll soon find they keep on going 'I didn't know that they did this...' and 'Ahh...'. But the sheer quality of this album is in the succession of decent music that keeps flooding out of the speakers.
I wasn't Texas' greatest fan before buying this, in fact, it was on an offer from a website that I managed to get the album for a fiver that persuaded me to buy it. However, I'm now definately going to look through the back catalogues... The best thing about the album is that you can just see it lasting for years and years. The best music never dates, but 'Once in a Lifetime' - I, for one, hope we see more...
